"This book is about two kids the one girl who is named Leslie is very rich and her family is money crazy so they move to this poor farmland town so that they can reassess their values and they move into the old Perkins place but at first the boy that lives next to the Perkins place named Jess does not like Leslie she is not lady like either and after awhile they become friends and then they make up this magical land across the creek called Terabithia and the one week in spring the weather was getting really bad and the little dry creek became this rapid river an Leslie knew how to swim and was very brave but Jess was chicken and did not no how to swim so one day this teacher he liked called and said would you like to go to the art museum with me and Jess said yes so he would not have to cross the creek and he did not tell Leslie and so Leslie crosses the creek herself and the rope they use to swim across with broke and Leslie dies."
