BORN TO READ: A Guide For Teen Mothers |
| The Born to Read program is a San Antonio
Public Library literacy program that targets teen mothers and gives them helpful
information about reading to their babies. It provides the tools and encouragement
teen mothers need to make reading part of their home routine. The program consists of a short video (available in English and Spanish) and a bilingual handbook that highlights the importance of reading to babies and features examples of songs, finger plays and lullabies. The video and printed manual are available for loan at any San Antonio Public Library location or through the Metropolitan Health District Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program sites.
