Chaucer (1340?-1400) English -
Baragonas Chaucer Page includes one of the most useful tools available for the study
of Chaucer, a searchable, annotated bibliography of every book and article written about
Chaucer for the last several years. This Online Chaucer Bibliography database includes
materials from the "Annotated Chaucer Bibliography, 1975-1995," published in The
Studies in the Age of Chaucer, volumes 1-19 (1975-1997). The Online Chaucer
Bibliography (The Studies in the Age of Chaucer or SAC) is sponsored by the New Chaucer
Society and the University of Texas at San Antonios Library. When the user clicks
this link, the server will make a telnet connection and the user will get a screen that
says UTSA, for the University of Texas at San Antonio. At that point, type in
"library" and hit ENTER. Follow the instructions on the screen. They will tell
the user to hit ENTER again, then type in "local" [for local database], and then
"chau". To begin a search:
A=To search by authors name (last name first)
T=To search by title (omit initial articles and all punctuations.
S=To search by subject
K=To search by keyword
To quit the SAC bibliography, type "stop."
