American Jewish Historical
Society
This membership organization, research library, archive, and museum was
founded in 1892 and is considered the oldest ethnic historical organization in the United
States. "Often referred to as the national archives of American Jewry,
its holdings are the preeminent resource for scholars, museums, filmmakers and publishers
who want to document American Jewish life from the 1590s to the present". Their
website provides links to upcoming events, prizes and fellowships for scholars, electronic
discussion groups, and other resources for students of Jewish American history.

Boris Feinmans exhibit, Builders of America-We are Americas Jews
is permanently on display at this Internet site, even though it has been taken down from
the Cannon rotunda in Washington D.C. The exhibit documents the history of the first
